Cookie policy
Effective May 20, 2026
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Crescence uses cookies and a few similar technologies, such as browser local storage, to keep you signed in, to remember your choices, and, only with your consent, to measure usage and catch errors. This policy explains each category and how we ask for consent.
Prior consent
For visitors in the EU, the UK, and anywhere a prior-consent rule applies, we do not set non-essential cookies until you opt in. The consent banner you see on your first visit has nothing pre-ticked: analytics and error-tracking are off by default, and the PostHog and Sentry scripts do not run until you turn them on. The legal basis for the non-essential categories is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, read with the ePrivacy prior-consent rule. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt because the Service cannot function without them.
Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a standing refusal of non-essential cookies and do not show the banner.
Cookie categories
Crescence groups cookies into three categories. You control the second and third from the banner or by re-opening it from your settings.
Changing your choices
You can change your cookie choices at any time. Re-open the consent banner from the cookie-preferences control in your account settings, toggle the categories you want, and save. Turning a category off stops the related scripts from running on your next page load and clears the stored consent for that category. You can also clear all cookies from your browser settings, which resets your consent decision and shows the banner again on your next visit.
Third-party cookies and tracking
We do not use cross-site advertising cookies, and we do not embed third-party tracking pixels on any page. The analytics and error-tracking providers we use are listed at /legal/subprocessors, and each is contractually bound to process data only on our instructions.
